Learn about running and environmental appreciation this summer with a week of running and living on West Virginia’s tallest mountain.
Scheduled for the week of July 3-9, the 2011 Spruce Mountain Running Camp will challenge and give you a solid base of mental and physical fitness for years to come.
Spruce Mountain Running Camp gets young runners out to explore the environment through training runs around the Mountain Institute property. It also fosters a sense of appreciation for the environment. And best of all, the camp nurtures mental, physical, and emotional strength in runners while encouraging camaraderie.
Half of the Spruce Mountain Running Camp counselors are runners and coaches with years of competitive running experience on the track, roads and trails: they’ll work with you to explore how you can become a better runner. The other half are counselors with wilderness-specific experience, who help you develop a better appreciation of the natural environment.
